internet has been a positive and negative as far as finding ‘weird’ things for material
on one hand it’s so much harder because we all have so much more trivial fleeting knowledge that pointing out some new piece of esoterica often instead of making us think, makes us reminisce
on the other, there’s so many more voices, if you’re willing to patiently sift....

Sympathy for the ∆EVIL
∆AIMON show at SXSW 2012 got busted up by cops after people reported it as a suspicious occult gathering.
if someone has pics of the raid or cop cars outside, hook me up.
apparently some people wouldn’t enter the venue at all cause the dark energy was so strong, heh.
props to my best peeps on this. this is the stuff that builds history.

for the PP set it’s probably going to be 2 ipads + 3 ipod/iphones, stripping down audio from old songs, isolating recognizable fragments, looping them, then improv with audio tools on top of that. some vocals. the whole thing will need to fit in a backpack

perhaps i’m projecting slightly, but i really think that no one becomes a musician because they love music. if you love music, you become a music listener. you become a musician if you think everyone else doing music is wrong, boring, stupid, and dull.
but again, perhaps i’m projecting slightly.
